The Bull in Relationships
In love and other relationships, Taurus is so slow to respond and commit, it seems like reluctance or even dismissal. But it is really because of sincerity. Once Taurus’ feelings have emerged, they last for very long. Taurus is only fulfilled with a relation that lasts – preferably a lifetime.

Who Has Time for Taurus?
Compatibility with other Star Signs depends on much more than similarities. Taurus, the steady settler of the Zodiac, belongs to the element earth, which is that of material things and the handling of them. So do Virgo and Capricorn, but that doesn’t necessarily mean Taurus is particularly compatible with them – they might be completely unattracted to one another.
Nor for that matter is Taurus always incompatible with, say, the air signs Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius, although they are quite different. Actually, differences are important in a relationship. If there are few of them, both will be bored with one another.
That’s the most evident when the astrological qualities – cardinal, fixed, and mutable – are compared. Each Zodiac sign has one of those qualities. Taurus is fixed, which means being uneager or slow to change, sort of conservative in a fashion. With Taurus it is very much so. Anything new is frowned upon until it is no longer new. That doesn’t blend well with other fixed signs in a relationship. They are Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius. None of them is that compatible with Taurus, since they will insist on their respective ways, quite unwilling to compromise. Both want the other to conform.
Nor is Taurus that compatible with the mutable signs, which are the followers of the Zodiac. They are Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces. Although they are much more apt to adapt, Taurus finds them kind of untrustworthy. They like change so much, they don’t stop doing it. Sometimes it’s to Taurus’ liking, but usually not.
With the cardinal signs, demanding to lead, things can also get complicated with Taurus if the two don’t agree on most things from the start. But if they find a common ground, Taurus doesn’t mind the bossing around – it is easy enough to ignore. The cardinal signs are Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn.
But nothing is written in stone. A relationship is complex. There is no guarantee as to what will work and what will not, especially at length. All the personality traits of each Zodiac sign have to be considered when examining their compatibility in astrology.
Taurus Compatibility in General
Generally speaking, Taurus wants security, which means a lasting relationship with 100% mutual trust and commitment. Anything else is just a temporary substitute, not to take seriously. Love is for life, or it just isn’t love, as far as Taurus is concerned.
When that love happens, it’s deep, strong, heavy, almost to the point of being painful – but a wonderful kind of pain. Taurus is always ready to commit, but slow to take the initiative and just as slow to be seduced. Patience is the initial test. Those who don’t pass it will not get to Taurus’ heart.
Those who do get there will be embraced firmly by a love that soothes the soul and satisfies the body completely. To Taurus, love is hard work, but Taurus knows what it takes and that it has its rewards.
